Guide to setup or change the Payroll Item Definition List

There are a variety of lists whose drop-downs can be managed in Flare, this includes Divisions, Departments, Pay groups, Visa Types and many more. This article provides you with a breakdown of the Payroll Item Definition list in Flare and outlines how to edit the list, its purpose and where it appears in Flare.

Within Settings > Payroll Setup you will find the Payroll Item Definition tab:

Payroll Item Definition

Purpose
Allows you to define earning types, earning deductions, reimbursements, and leave types. This can also be used when integrating with other systems.

Where this field appears:
- Employee > Payroll Setup
- Employee > Leave
