This article provides you with an overview of the Ethnic Origins list options in Flare and outlines how to edit the list, its purpose and where it appears in Flare.
Ethnic Origins allow your employees to identify their ethnicity (if they choose to do so), this is a reporting item you can use for ethnicity breakdowns across your organisation, but it can also provide confirmation if an employee is of Aboriginal or Torres strait Islander descent.
Where does this field appear:
- Employee > Employee Details > Personal Details
- Onboarding - Employee profile set up

To Edit or add to your Ethnic Origins categories:
1. Go to: Settings > Setup > List Management
2. In the look up list select Ethnic Origins :
3. Make the required changes below
a. Select "Add Item" to add a new ethnic origin to your list, enter the name and update
b. Select Edit next to the required ethnic origin and you can change the name displayed, make the change and update
c. Select "Delete" next to the required ethnic origin to delete and confirm the deletion
Note: Any changes will be applied to the specific ethnic origin immediately, including those edited. We do not recommend deleting an ethnic origin unless it was added in error.
