The assignment of LSL accrual will be determined based on the Pay State or this can be overridden by any Award / EBA condition.
The steps to assign the specific State based LSL accrual rate to an employee is as follows:
- Once an employee is setup within Flare, ensure that both the Holiday Calendar and Pay State fields are updated and saved.
- Navigate to the Employees < Payroll Setup < Setup Pay tab and scroll down to the leave section
- Ensure that the Calculation method for Long Service Leave is set to Based on Timesheet Hours
Ensure that the Rate Per Hour is set to the accrual rate for the state assigned to the employee
4. Select Save and ensure that the start date of the accrual rate is set to the employees start date, then Submit the change to enable this change to take effect
