Employees who are not salaried and have their hours worked imported via a timesheet, added to the Flare timesheet or entered directly into the payslip, the employee configuration in the Role page should be as follows:
- Salary (excl. super) to be set Per* Hour in the Role page
- Work Pattern
✓ Set to 24hrs (if employee is not casual)
✓ Set to 0hrs (if employee is casual)
Flare maintains a single rate of pay for an employee, within the Role page, however FlarePay supports the ability to pay employees at multiple pay rates. As part of the implementation discovery, the Awards and associated rates of pay will be determined which will enable the configuration of FlarePay Wage Types in one of two options:
Single Pay Rates:
Any wage type with a sub-category of Time-Allow-Hourly must be used. All hours associated with this wage type will be paid at the hourly rate stipulated on the Role page.
In the FlarePay import timesheet, the Units/Hours are mandatory.
Pay Rate Calculation: Hours x Hourly Rate x Valuation % (default is 100% but can be overridden)

Multiple Pay Rates:
Any wage type with a sub-category of Time-Allow-Amt must be used.
In the FlarePay import timesheet, the Units/Hours and Costed Amount are mandatory. As Flare does not maintain multiple pay rates for employees, the pay rate which appears on the payslip will be determined by the calculation of Costed Amount / Hours.
