The 101.
This is not a step by step guide on how to create employees. It only highlights the mandatory fields required for employee creation.
In Flare HR there are 2 ways of creating an employee. Through the interface or through a functionality called "Batch upload".
Here we will review what the mandatory fields are for each method. This way, you can make sure you have all necessary information before going through the employee creation process.

Creating an employee through Flare HR
To create an employee through the interface simply go to "Organisation">"Manage Employee" and click on "Add a new person"
Once you click the “Add a new person button” you will see a screen pop up and have the opportunity to add a candidate, a new employee or an existing employee (not already in Flare).
Regardless of which status you select from the above drop down, you will need all of the following information to populate all of the mandatory fields:
- Personal Details:
- Name and Contact:
- Title
- First Name
- Last Name
- Personal Info
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Name and Contact:
- Role
- Job Details
- Division
- Department
- Job
- Position Management
- Position
- Reporting To
- Employment Details

- Employment Type
- Legal Entity
- Salary Details

- Per (Hour/Year)
- Job Details
Creating an employee through Batch Upload
To create an employee on Flare via batch upload and not through the interface simply go to "Organisation">"Manage Employee" and click on "Batch Upload"
After following step 1 and 2, open the excel spreadsheet that is available to download via the notifications bell in the top right corner of the platform.
Once you have downloaded the spreadsheet, you will notice all mandatory fields are highlighted in red in the first row in the excel spreadsheet. The second row will provide instructions for the format. Based on your selections in step 1 some of the fields below might not appear in the sheet and thus are not mandatory for this particular upload.
Mandatory columns:

Once you have filled in the details for the mandatory columns and option columns, go back to the Batch Upload page and upload the employee data to Flare. Done!
